MISSION

The African in America youth development program is an organization that focuses on building a positive environment and bringing the youth from different backgrounds, culture and languages together in our community. Our goal is to create opportunities, support personal and professional growth for the youth, empower and inspire the youth to reach their full potential in life through sports, education, life skills and mentoring programs. 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The program focuses on recruiting and helping the youth who in the summertime can’t afford other camps. The camp is free for all the youth. We are focused on the development of the youth ages 8-17 years old. We understand that there are many talented youths in our communities. This program will help them build the confidence to express their talent in front of many people like them through soccer. Our goal for them is to give them the exposure that they need to connect to many other soccer clubs here in Louisville.  We want more of our youth to be active in doing things that help them build a future in our communities. We believe being active will help them avoid taking the wrong paths in their life. Community building through soccer is our biggest focus. We learn the basics of soccer and what it takes to become professionals. We challenge each other mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually with many different activities of soccer. We work with them in many aspects of their life while teaching them soccer.
